PADI Professional Dive Training | PADI CDC Center | Trawangan Dive Center | Gili Islands IDC

Do you love scuba Diving? Why not take a professional dive qualification with the IDC Gili Islands Career Development Center?

Trawangan Dive is situated on the beautiful Island of Gili Trawangan, which is the largest of the three islands that make up the Gili Islands, Indonesia. Our 5 Star PADI IDC Resort is also the only PADI Career Development Center in Lombok and the Gili Islands and is therefore the best possible choice when it comes to taking a professional dive qualification.

The first professional level qualification is the PADI Divemaster. Although the PADI Divemaster Course can be taken over a shorter period we highly recommend taking the Course over a period of five weeks so as you can take advantage of our high level of experience in training PADI professionals. The course consists of knowledge development topics, practical applications and of course the final Divemaster exams. To join our PADI Divemaster Internship Program you will need to be over 18 years of age and hold The PADI Advanced and Rescue certification. If you have previously trained with another organization these are also accepted, as long as the organization is recognized. Other requirements is that participants have a minimum of 40 logged dives and have been cleared for diving by a recognized physician. The course also requires that you have completed the EFR program within the two years prior to enrolling on the course. Once the Divemaster Course requirements have been completed and the participant has logged 60 dives they can be certified as a PADI Divemaster.

As one of the largest and most professional dive centers in the Gili Islands, taking the course here at our PADI CDC Center allows participants to take full advantage of our first class facilities and our team of experienced PADI Instructors. The Divemaster course here at Trawangan Dive can be challenging but can also be a lot of fun as there is a huge social scene within our dive center and we regularly arrange activities where guests, staff, students, Divemasters and Instructor Candidates can socialize.

The next step on the PADI professional ladder is the Instructor Development Course (IDC) which allows PADI Divemasters to progress to a level where they can teach the full range of PADI Programs, helping to develop and train new divers. The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is an 11 day course and participants are strongly advised to arrive a minimum of 4 days prior to the start date so as to take advantage of the Pre-IDC Workshop Sessions. The course is made up of classroom presentations, confined and open water presentations, dive skill mastery, rescue exercises, dive theory and PADI training standards. At the end of the course a PADI examiner will travel to the Gili Islands and conduct an external examination. Our PADI Platinum Course Director Prepares her instructors to a standard that far exceeds that generally expected within industry allowing them to go on to make a positive effect in their new rewarding and successful career.

Once a PADI Instructor there are a range of options in terms of further education including specialty training and progressing through the PADI education system.

If you’re interested in taking the Gili IslandsPADI Divemaster Internship Program or you’re already a PADI Divemaster who wishes to become a PADI Instructor than there are a range of options available. We also run a range of alternative options through the Gili Islands IDCCareer Enhancement Program.
